We were very excited to recently discover (thanks to James Foley over in Perth) that Engibear’s Dream has been included on the shortlist for the WAYRBA (West Australian Young Readers’ Book Award) 2015. This award is nominated by the “young readers” themselves as readers are invited to nominate, through their libraries, books that they have enjoyed. These nominations are then considered by the WAYRBA committee and the lists are drawn up.

Young people are asked to read titles on the lists and evaluate them as  ‘terrific’, ‘good’, ‘okay’ or ‘awful.’

I’m hoping it doesn’t get too many ‘awfuls’…..but it is so exciting to be included amongst such a great list of titles, authors and illustrators (including you, James…go Knut!)
